Me After You Cover Reveal
As I said in my last post I would be revealing the cover for a New Adult Contemporary Romance novel. I will say that I have read an early draft of this book and it was FANTASTIC! I can't wait to finish reading the final product. So without further ado the cover reveal for Me After You. Enjoy!
Goodreads link: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17802725-me-after-you
Synopsis:
Widowed at twenty-five, Sawyer Hartwell has no choice but to return to her hometown. Broke and alone, the intention was to heal and find herself again, but how can she heal in a place filled with so much sorrow and memories she yearns to forget?
Dean Preston has regretted leaving Willowhaven since the day he rode off on his motorcycle six years ago, destroying the only love he had ever known. Returning too late, he's found small comfort in a new life with Lily, but with Sawyer back he's not sure of anything anymore.
The time has come for Sawyer and Dean to face the past, to learn from their mistakes. The road to healing is paved with old wounds, each one threatening to tear them down completely. Carrying their own scars close to their hearts, they must both confront what's gone before or lose their second chance.
The measure of who we are is what we survive. Who we become is up to us.

Just A Touch Now Availabe in epub
Has it really been over a month since I posted anything. *cringe* Well I'm sorry for that. October was CRAZY! So, here is a quick update for everyone.
Just A Touch should be available from Barnes and Noble in the next few days. It was uploaded today so probably this weekend. It is still available from Amazon as well in mobi format. The price is $2.99 so get your copy today!
A Fighting Chance, the second book in the series, is currently in the draft 2 phase so it's been sent to a few close friends for their initial take and will then be going to beta readers. If you've read Just A Touch you qualify for beta reader status! So let me know if you're interested.
Just A Touch will be receiving a new cover probably in early 2014. It hasn't been pinned down yet so be watching for that. Hopefully AFC will be coming out around the same time. Cross your fingers. :)
My other books are currently at a standstill until AFC is completed and after baby is born, which could be in the next few weeks *scary*. So a lot of my time has been dedicated to baby prep and AFC editing.
Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween and I hope your November is fantastic! Be sure to tune in on November 4th for an amazing cover reveal for a book I think everyone will enjoy! More to come!
Happy Reading!

A Fighting Chance!!!
Okay now that I got that out of my system I can officially say that book 2 is WRITTEN! I've just reached out to a friend to do a read through so I can get the big kinks worked out before I go into beta reader mode. That being said I'm in the market for beta readers. The one caveat, however, you need to have read book 1 first. It is a series you know.
Okay, so go get your copy of Just A Touch and let me know if you're interested in being a beta reader!
Happy Reading All!!

So that is just a brief update. Happy Reading!

Random Rant
So this is just me ranting about Goodreads. It's nothing that Goodreads did it's specifically about the person who rated it two stars but never even read it. How do I know they didn't read it? Sales did not increase, they were not a winner of the giveaway, and they rated it the day they added it. Plus, when you click on their name they have rated over 21000 books with an average rating of 1.98. That tells me their sole purpose is to diminish the rating value of books.
Now that said if you really think my book is only worth 2 stars okay, that's your right as a reader. But don't go around rating books low just because you can. Have a reason to back it up. If I rate a book low, and I have, it's because I read it, genuinely didn't enjoy it' and wrote a review to back up my opinion. I'm not going to leave the author hanging. Any review, even a bad one, can help an author get better. But the reader has to be willing to let the author know why they thought that, otherwise what's the point of the rating system?
Okay, rant over. But seriously don't you guys agree?

Five Fun Facts Friday...on Sunday...
But I promised 5 fun facts so here are 5 fun facts. I received no questions so this is just from me to you.
1) About me: My least favorite subject in school was always English. I hated it. I wasn't good at it. But I enjoyed reading, as long as it wasn't for school. And low and behold I wrote a book. Imagine that. My English teachers would probably flip.
2) About Just A Touch: When I started writing the book, I had it going in a completely different direction than it actually went. There is a scene at the beginning when you are first getting to know Arianna where she's talking about why they moved to Bakers Ridge. Originally I was going to use that a foreshadowing the her parents having something to do with the Chosen and knowing what she was from the beginning. But that all changed as I started writing. I'm happy with the way it ended up but I ended up leaving the scene there because it could be used in either way.
3) Future Books: I currently have five other books in the works, the final two in the Triad series (A Fighting Chance which is almost completed and a yet to be named third book), Promises (A clean new adult contemporary about love and loss), Hope (About exactly what the title says), and Remember (which is a different take on the fairytale Sleeping Beauty set in modern times)
4) About A Fighting Chance: Since it isn't released yet I will be vague but I end up killing off a character that you meet in Just A Touch and turning someone into a traitor...that is all.
And finally number 5) About me (5 books/trilogies I think are worth the read): Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers (AMAZING), Love Me With Lies Trilogy by Tarryn Fisher (I just finished the third one and although it wasn't my favorite the series is completely worth it), Delirium Trilogy (LOVED 1 and 2, 3 left me with a feeling of "seriously that's how you're going to end it...", but the series is worth it), Golden by Cameron Dokey (Retelling of Rapunzel. It was FABULOUS), The Infernal Devices Series by Cassandra Clare (I know most people talk about The Mortal Instruments but I loved TID so much more...Will *sigh*)
And there you go Five Fun Facts on Friday that turned into a Sunday...
If you want more start asking questions and I will be happy to oblige. I am not a mind reader so I don't know what you guys want to know.
A Fighting Chance's short synopsis has been posted to Goodreads. I'm waiting for more people to add/read Just A Touch before I post the full synopsis. That or when I'm ready to publish it. So everyone go check out Just A Touch (free for Amazon Prime users) and let me know what you think. You're feedback is wanted but you can't provide it if you never actually read it. :)
**Sidenote: Just A Touch will be free for Prime member for only 90 days then I will be adding the book to more sites so it can be downloaded in additional formats. That will happen in early November so if you want to read it without buying it and you're and Amazon Prime member hurry up, you're window of opportunity is dwindling.
Have a great week everyone!

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
I hope you all have a chance to read it and enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. To my test readers I couldn't have done it without you! Once you've read the book if you desire to be part of the test reader group for the second book please let me know. I will be taking up to 10 test readers on a first come first serve basis for A Fighting Chance.
So again I hope everyone enjoys Just A Touch! Let me know on Goodreads and/or Amazon what you think! Yay!
Okay, I'm going to go do a happy dance now because this has finally happened! Bye for now!

The Time Has Come!!!
Now, before I reveal it I just want to say a huge thank you to Corrie Bates who designed and drew the cover for me. She is fantastic. So I guess you just want to see the cover now, huh? In a minute.
First, I will give you the promised snippet from Just A Touch. This will be the final teaser, snippet, sneak peak, whatever you want to call it until the book is released. When will that be you ask? Sometime in the next week. I know I'm so vague. I will tell you that Just A Touch is in the final formatting stage and once that is complete I will upload to Amazon and Barnes & Noble. I will also let everyone here know that it is out as well as add it to Goodreads. It will probably get added to Goodreads sometime today so that you can go ahead and put it on your to read lists.
So now for the snippet I promised. Enjoy!

Cover Reveal...Almost!

This and That
So today I just want to ramble a little bit about this and that. First I want to say the Just A Touch is coming along nicely and if my cover comes in on time it should be available in the next couple of weeks!! More on that once my cover arrives. Don't worry you'll be the first to know since I'll be doing the reveal right here. :)
In other news A Fighting Chance is starting to flow again so it is coming along at a decent pace. Still hoping to have at least a workable copy done by December. I know I said I wanted it out by December but I've had a few life changing events take place that may make that a little risky (more on that in a second). So for now just know that it is a work in progress and that I'm hoping to have it to you soon. I will be needing test readers for it once it's completed so once you've read Just A Touch, if you're interested, just comment below or on a later post when I put out the official request. You can also message me on goodreads too if you'd rather do that.
In the land of my YA Contemporary, Promises, that one has been coming at me from all directions. I haven't written anymore in the actual book since I've been focusing my efforts on getting Just A Touch out the door and A Fighting Chance completed but I have been taking notes. I hope you all love it as much as I do inside my mind. More on that once the rest are completed, or at least to a place that I need to distance myself from them.
So back to that life changing event that may postpone the release of A Fighting Chance... I'm expecting a little girl at the beginning of December! So that's incredibly exciting and I've been planning her arrival and getting things ready since we found out we're having a girl. It's been CRAZY! But if she comes on-time and not early I should at least have the first, hopefully a close to final, draft completed by then. But we shall see. I make no promises since she will be my first priority.
So there is some exciting news for you all! Look for the next sneak peek at Just A Touch to come along with the cover reveal. Until then, if there is anything you would like to know about me, the book, random things... Just comment below and I will gladly get back to you.
That's all for now! Happy reading!

I Know, I Know...It's Been Awhile
Just A Touch has gone through a bit of a revamp. Nothing really major but enough that I think the story got that much more exciting. At least I hope it did. So for those of you who were in the test group be prepared for some difference between what you've read and what gets published. It'll make it exciting for all!
Also, in regards to my cover for Just A Touch, I received the initial proofs and I'm excited to say that I think the cover is going to be amazing! I should have it back by the 26th!! I can't wait! The reveal will happen here and on Goodreads once it is complete. Once I have the cover and the final edits back I'll be publishing. More on that once the time gets closer but I'm hoping within the next month. Cross your fingers!
A Fighting Chance, book 2, is still a work in progress. I've reached right around 33,000 words and I've just had another wave of inspiration for it so hopefully that word count will increase significantly in the next few weeks. Once you've read Just A Touch you'll know who this story is about but I will be giving no hints or sneak peaks for this one until Just A Touch has been out for a bit. So sorry, but you'll all have to wait a little while for more on this one.
I also have three other books in progress, one being book 3 to the Triad, but right now finishing the Triad series is my main focus so the others are still sitting on the shelf with right around 10,000 words each. They are called Promises and Remember. More on these later but figured I'd clue you in since I've been MIA for a while.
And as a I'm sorry gift here is another peak at Just A Touch. One from Arianna and one from Chase. Enjoy!

A Cover and Book 2...Say What?!
Speaking of Just A Touch, I'm planning to have it published by the end of July, cross your fingers. Once the cover is completed I'll add it to Goodreads but I don't want to do that until it has a cover. It'll be more exciting then.
As for this book 2 I mentioned in the title of this post... Yes! It does exist. There is a book 2 in The Triad series currently in progress. I've written approximately 30,000 words so far but it is taking form nicely. I'm excited about it and I don't even have book 1 released yet. Go figure.
If all goes according to plan Book 2 will be released by December. So that's two books, from the same series, in the same year. Can't beat that right.
So, since I'm in such a good mood today I'll leave you with a small teaser from Just A Touch. Enjoy!

Just A Touch Excerpt!
I watch Arianna head towards her car, keys in hand and I stand. I begin heading back towards my house to get in my car and follow her. I keep an eye on her to make sure she reaches her car safely, but stop when she pauses. I scan the area, worrying that I may have missed something.
About the time I see the man running towards her from the opposite side of the house Arianna is already turning to face him. I bolt out of the trees and scream “ARIANNA!” as loud as I can.
I watch the events unfold in slow motion as I run across the yard to reach her. She gets hit in the head with what looks like some sort of pipe and crumples to the ground. My steps freeze and my heart feels like it is being ripped from my chest.
In the split second I’m frozen in place the attacker notices me and starts to advance. I immediately go into defense mode. Guardians are trained fighters so he shouldn’t be much trouble for me, even though I haven’t quite finished all of my training yet.
The attacker is big and intimidating. He has a scar on his right arm that is just visible underneath his shirt sleeve. I meet his eyes as he advances towards me. They are hard eyes full of hate and determination and I know he isn’t going down without a fight.
As he swings the pipe towards my head I duck and aim a swinging kick into his legs trying to knock him off balance. He spins away from me and I barely graze his leg. He lunges at me once more and I dodge to the left, bringing my fist into direct contact with his jaw and spinning so I am now between him and Arianna’s limp form. This causes him to lose his concentration for a split second and I aim a kick directly into his midsection causing him to double over, but he recovers quickly.
As the fight progresses I hear movement behind me. Thinking it is Arianna waking up I keep my attention focused on the threat in front of me, allowing his accomplice to sneak up behind me unnoticed.
By the time I sense his presence it’s too late and I duck just enough to keep whatever it is he’s swinging at me from coming into direct contact with my temple, but the impact is enough to bring me to my knees.
As the world sways from the impact the original attacker kicks me in the stomach and brings his pipe down on the back of my head. As my body falls to the ground I think, I’m so sorry Arianna, I failed you. And then everything goes black.
