Just A Touch SALE and Cover Update

Hey everyone!

Sorry I've been MIA lately but my priorities have shifted in the last month. I'm happy to announce that I am now a Mommy! My little girl came into this world 2 1/2 weeks early so I've been focused on her since then.

Another reason is my computer decided that it no longer liked to type. Which makes writing anything difficult. So, sadly A Fighting Chance hasn't been edited in awhile. Hopefully I will have a new laptop soon. I'm currently shopping for a decently priced one. Any suggestions are welcome.

So, as the title of this post states, Just A Touch is currently on sale for .99 cents. It also has a new cover that better shows it to be the YA novel that is is. Let me know what you think.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. Welcome to 2014! I hope this year treats you well. Happy reading!!

Me After You Cover Reveal

Hello Everyone!

As I said in my last post I would be revealing the cover for a New Adult Contemporary Romance novel. I will say that I have read an early draft of this book and it was FANTASTIC! I can't wait to finish reading the final product. So without further ado the cover reveal for Me After You. Enjoy!

Title: Me After You
Author: Mindy Hayes
Genre: New Adult Contemporary Romance
Release Date: November 22, 2013
Goodreads link: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17802725-me-after-you

Synopsis:

Widowed at twenty-five, Sawyer Hartwell has no choice but to return to her hometown. Broke and alone, the intention was to heal and find herself again, but how can she heal in a place filled with so much sorrow and memories she yearns to forget?

Dean Preston has regretted leaving Willowhaven since the day he rode off on his motorcycle six years ago, destroying the only love he had ever known. Returning too late, he's found small comfort in a new life with Lily, but with Sawyer back he's not sure of anything anymore.

The time has come for Sawyer and Dean to face the past, to learn from their mistakes. The road to healing is paved with old wounds, each one threatening to tear them down completely. Carrying their own scars close to their hearts, they must both confront what's gone before or lose their second chance.

The measure of who we are is what we survive. Who we become is up to us.

Just A Touch Now Availabe in epub

Hey!

Has it really been over a month since I posted anything. *cringe* Well I'm sorry for that. October was CRAZY! So, here is a quick update for everyone.

Just A Touch should be available from Barnes and Noble in the next few days. It was uploaded today so probably this weekend. It is still available from Amazon as well in mobi format. The price is $2.99 so get your copy today!

A Fighting Chance, the second book in the series, is currently in the draft 2 phase so it's been sent to a few close friends for their initial take and will then be going to beta readers. If you've read Just A Touch you qualify for beta reader status! So let me know if you're interested.

Just A Touch will be receiving a new cover probably in early 2014. It hasn't been pinned down yet so be watching for that.  Hopefully AFC will be coming out around the same time. Cross your fingers. :)

My other books are currently at a standstill until AFC is completed and after baby is born, which could be in the next few weeks *scary*. So a lot of my time has been dedicated to baby prep and AFC editing.

Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween and I hope your November is fantastic! Be sure to tune in on November 4th for an amazing cover reveal for a book I think everyone will enjoy! More to come!

Happy Reading!

A Fighting Chance!!!

Book 2 is done! Book 2 is done! Happy dance! Happy dance!

Okay now that I got that out of my system I can officially say that book 2 is WRITTEN! I've just reached out to a friend to do a read through so I can get the big kinks worked out before I go into beta reader mode. That being said I'm in the market for beta readers. The one caveat, however, you need to have read book 1 first. It is a series you know.

Okay, so go get your copy of Just A Touch and let me know if you're interested in being a beta reader!

Happy Reading All!!

Random Rant

So this is just me ranting about Goodreads. It's nothing that Goodreads did it's specifically about the person who rated it two stars but never even read it. How do I know they didn't read it? Sales did not increase, they were not a winner of the giveaway, and they rated it the day they added it. Plus, when you click on their name they have rated over 21000 books with an average rating of 1.98. That tells me their sole purpose is to diminish the rating value of books.

Now that said if you really think my book is only worth 2 stars okay, that's your right as a reader. But don't go around rating books low just because you can. Have a reason to back it up. If I rate a book low, and I have, it's because I read it, genuinely didn't enjoy it' and wrote a review to back up my opinion. I'm not going to leave the author hanging. Any review, even a bad one, can help an author get better. But the reader has to be willing to let the author know why they thought that, otherwise what's the point of the rating system?

Okay, rant over. But seriously don't you guys agree?
