And because I'm feeling giving today...

    I feel the softness of her white blonde hair as I wrap my fingers in it, pulling her face towards mine. The pain in my chest lessens slightly with the contact, but not enough, so I keep pushing myself farther, wanting to drown in her touch. I hear a faint gasp and pause. “What is it?” she asks quietly against my lips.

     I don’t answer her, turning my face to see passed her bright blonde hair. The sight in front of me makes my stomach roll and my heart shatters. I meet the emerald eyes of the only person I should be doing this with. The shock and pain and hurt clouding those beautiful eyes keeps me frozen in place. I can’t even say anything to her. I see the question screaming at me as a single tear slides down her face and she turns and runs out of my life completely—why?

      A beam of sunlight wakes me from my nightmare.

I'm working hard on editing AFC! It's coming along nicely. Look for the cover reveal to come shortly! So excited!!

A Fighting Chance Teaser!

So, I meant to post this yesterday but that was a big fail. Sorry about that. But, better late than never right! :)

A Fighting Chance Teaser 1

   "I start to move towards the stairs, but Ethan grabs a hold of my arm, causing my steps to freeze. I look up and stare into his bright eyes. He meets my eyes and holds on to them for a split second before nodding towards something on the ground. I follow his eyes and look down. Mr. Shae must have seen the movement too because he moves in the direction of the object lying on the floor in front of us. Ethan’s grip loosens on my arm, but he doesn’t let go.

   Mr. Shae leans over and picks the object up off the floor. He stares at it, his eyes going wide. I can see a piece of paper rubber-banded around it as he makes his way over to us. He removes the paper before handing the object to Ethan and turns to whisper something to Mrs. Shae. She nods and turns quickly towards their room. I stare at the object in Ethan’s hand. The hand gripping onto my arm releases and I look up at him. He is a good six inches taller than me when he stands up straight.

   He rolls the object over, drawing my attention back to it. From the back it looked like an ordinary chunk of rock, but when he turns it over… My breath catches at the sight and I gasp as understanding dawns on me."

Also, I'm hoping to have the cover reveal next week!! AND...hoping to have it published by May 1! Be on the lookout and go grab Just A Touch and read up on it before A Fighting Chance releases!!

I'm Back!

Hello Blogger World!

So I am officially back up and running. New laptop - check (this one types!) Back to work - check (darn) And writing AFC again! - check (woo hoo!!).

Okay, so I am officially back into edit mode on A Fighting Chance, book 2 in the Triad series! It is coming along nicely and hopefully I will get it out to a test group in the next few months. If you haven't read Just A Touch yet I will be doing a giveaway once my Goodreads numbers get to 50 adds. We're at 45 now so only 5 to go! If you haven't added the book to your list yet you should. :) You never know, you may be the lucky person who gets it for FREE!

Thank you to those who have bought the book and read it. I hope you liked it! The price has been reduced to $2.00 and it will stay that way until the next time I decide to do a sale. It will definitely go on sale once A Fighting Chance is released, but that could be a while since I'm still updating and editing the story.

Just A Touch SALE and Cover Update

Hey everyone!

Sorry I've been MIA lately but my priorities have shifted in the last month. I'm happy to announce that I am now a Mommy! My little girl came into this world 2 1/2 weeks early so I've been focused on her since then.

Another reason is my computer decided that it no longer liked to type. Which makes writing anything difficult. So, sadly A Fighting Chance hasn't been edited in awhile. Hopefully I will have a new laptop soon. I'm currently shopping for a decently priced one. Any suggestions are welcome.

So, as the title of this post states, Just A Touch is currently on sale for .99 cents. It also has a new cover that better shows it to be the YA novel that is is. Let me know what you think.
